ChatGPT Keeps Shipping

This week of Bitcoin breakthroughs has been the first time in a long time that AI hasnā€™t sucked up the tech worldā€™s attention.

But that doesnā€™t mean no moves are being made. To the contrary, OpenAI has shipped two big ChatGPT upgrades this week.

The GPT Store and ChatGPT Team.

The GPT Store

2 months ago, right before the whole Altman vs The Board drama, OpenAI released GPTs, which are custom versions of ChatGPT that you can create for a specific purpose with nothing but natural language.

It was promised that we would eventually be able to surf and sell GPTs in a store much like we do apps in the App Store. With the GPT Store, that promise has now become a reality.

Hereā€™s the gist:

  • The store features a range of GPTs which you can browse through.

  • OpenAI will periodically feature GPTs they find especially useful and impactful.

  • Thereā€™s no revenue sharing yet, but you can expect this to come sometime in Q1.

Pretty cool stuff, and if youā€™re in the market for a new credit card and want to try out the GPT Store, check out my GPT.

ChatGPT Team

OpenAI is also launching ChatGPT Teamā€¦which is basically exactly what youā€™d expect. Itā€™s a version of ChatGPT built for smaller teams.

Basically, ChatGPT thatā€™s a level above regular ChatGPT but a level below ChatGPT Enterprise.

It comes with pretty much everything a small team would need:

  • Dedicated workspace for up to 149 people.

  • Access to OpenAIā€™s latest models.

  • Access to GPTs.

  • Unspecified new features and improvements down the line.

If youā€™re a team willing to fork over $30 per user per month, then ChatGPT Team could be yours.

The Business Plan: It appears that OpenAI is trying to capture both the consumer market and the business market here. Smart play to crank those revenues before the Appleā€™s of the world really start to get involved.
